Moi Vietnamese Grill – Pflugerville Texas
Wait, hear me out. Many people will tell you that traveling to Pflugerville for food is a no no for them. But wait, what if I told you that Pflugerville Pfoodies don’t play when it comes to food. We love it and we demand high quality, great service, and community.
That’s why I’m so happy to say we have just that. We show up, we support and we don’t just say it’s good and take pretty pictures. We want the restaurants to back it up.
I almost don’t want to share some of the restaurants for selfish reasons. I love that when I walk in, they know me by name or by face. They know my order and know I’m going to tip well for service. No need to force a 20% tip. I often leave more even for counter service.
Ok so here we go, one of my favorite foods is Vietnamese. I’ve been eating it for a little over 25 years. I’m super picky about quality and taste and expect each dish to be fresh and unique.
Moi Vietnamese Grill does just that. Fresh and delicious. It’s more of a choose your own adventure type of restaurant as well.
You walk up and pick your protein, your noodles and your veggies. So everyone in your family can have their own meal that is unique to them.
Their food is fast and casual cuisine. Prices are perfectly priced and the selection of proteins include chicken, tofu, pork and beef. Noodles can be rice or zucchini which are made fresh in house daily.
What’s Vietnamese food?
Vietnamese food is traditionally inexpensive because of the country of Vietnam being so impoverished. The food is fresh, fast and extremely flavorful.
There are spicy, sour, bitter, salty and sweet are the profile flavors that you will find in the dishes. And you will always have a nice smell, taste and color.

The best way I can describe it is that it is pretty clean and healthy. Every restaurant is different, but there is always a nice balance and we prefer it over traditional fast food.
How spicy is Vietnamese food?
Well, most items that I have ordered when ordering any Vietnamese food is that it is always little to no spice. You add your own spice if you like.
One reason why I like Vietnamese food, is always that I can choose our ingredients that I want on each dish that we pick. I can also choose the level of spice that I want and the sauces to fit each person in my family. So I can control the ingredients which makes me enjoy the food a little bit more. Some days I want a little more spicy and other days a little more savory. Each family member can choose their own adventure when ordering their food.
Vietnamese coffee
How is Vietnamese coffee different?
It has a very strong taste is sweetened with condensed milk. I absolutely love it. But it has a kick, so if you are sensitive to coffee keeping you awake if you drink it late in the day, this is one to have for lunch and not for dinner.
