How To Make Pumpkin Pie In A Jar
You will want to get 5 half pint jars and make sure that they are cleaned and dry. Then preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Next you will want to gather a large bowl and then add your eggs, brown sugar and white sugar and beat. Then add pumpkin, vanilla, pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, and salt and beat again.
Now add in your evaporated milk and mix the ingredients until they are well combined. You can begin assembling the jars now. Pour the mix into the jars and leave a small amount of space at the top of the jars to allow the mix to rise a bit while baking. There may be a small amount of mix left over, if you would like to bake that in a smaller jar you can.
Grab a small baking dish and put all of the jars in the baking dish. Then place the baking dish in your preheated oven.
Allow the jars to bake for 35 to 45 minutes.Different ovens and elevations will have different baking times. Make sure that you check the center with a toothpick. The tooth pick should come out clean, then you know that the jars are done.
Make sure to allow the jars to cool completely before handling.
Top with whipped cream if you want to. Or a little cinnamon and sugar and enjoy

How Do You Know When The Jars Are Done?
Please remember to watch the recipe in your oven, because depending on your oven type (gas, electric, convection) the cooking times will vary. To check for doneness, stick a tooth pick in the center and it will come out clean if the jars are cooked. I start checking for doneness at the 35 minute mark.
