Westin
3 Days and 2 Nights at the Newly remodeled Westin Dallas Fort Worth Hotel
We had such a wonderful stay at the Westin DFW. When we went it was decorated for Christmas and had a hint of holiday festive around the lobby area.
THIS POST IS HOSTED BY WESTIN DALLAS FORT WORTH IN IRVING, ALL OPINIONS ARE ALL OUR OWN.
Since my hubby has a Marriott credit card and a Marriott Bonvoy reward member we were able to take advantage of the private room and get breakfast included in our stay.
We will share some of the photos of breakfast below.
Our room was a Suite with a King Bed. So it had a king bed and a pullout couch. To our surprise, it also had a nicely sized shower with a separate soaking tub.
I loved that the bedroom had a tv as well as a chair to relax in or use to sit in while getting dressed. The colors in the bedroom and the art on the wall behind the bed made for a light airy feel. It was nice not to have the wall covered with paintings above the bed. Night Tables allowed us to charge our electronics at night after a lot of recording and photos, we needed it. The corners of the bed were also nicely tucked, trust me my hubby looked. That military mindset never goes away.

We enjoyed all of the light in this suite. The room we had was a corner room and so there was natural light on two walls that made the room fill with daylight. Perfect for opening curtains and waking sleeping teens.

The living space was the perfect size for playing a few family games. Didn’t bring board games this trip, but we did play Kahoot and we used all of the seating available, which was perfect for our family of four.

Do you see the light on the mirrors in the bathroom!? My daughter and I were so happy with it. Nothing better than having a properly lit bathroom when doing your hair and makeup. Especially when you have curly hair and trying to make sure you can tame the frizz and flyaways.

Meeting Space
Since meeting space can be something we look for in our family, I thought we would share. Even though it is not directly related to this vacation, and can be included for holiday parties, family reunions, weddings etc.
Plus, I am hoping I can convince my family to have our next family reunion here!

Now let’s talk about the food
As we all know, that when you are traveling with kids, especially teens, breakfast is highly important. It can make or break your day.
The one thing that both the kids could agree upon during this stay, is that the breakfast was worth every penny. They both felt like there was enough variety in food and some good choices for drinks. There was chocolate milk, and it was rich and creamy. We had to pull them away from the milk so they would save room for food.
Sometimes the struggle with teens is the bottomless pit that they can become during this phase of growth. So the breakfast was a perfect way to fill that need.
Elite Marriott Rewards members can eat in the breakfast area for free. Verify this at the front desk when checking in. There you will get your vouchers.
