How to Make Deep-Fried Oreos
These Oreos are made on the stovetop, but if you have a deep fryer, you can definitely use that.
First, fill the pan with about two inches of oil. Heat over medium-low heat on the stovetop.
Next, make the pancake batter.
Dip the Oreo into the batter.
Next, fry the coated Oreo in the oil for about ten to 15 seconds until golden brown.
Place the deep-fried Oreos on a paper towel-lined plate and allow to cool completely.
Finally, top with powdered sugar.
Enjoy!
Tips
- To make pumpkin cinnamon deep-fried Oreos: add one half teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice and one tablespoon of pumpkin puree into the pancake batter.
- Serve immediately for the best flavors.
- Substitute the Oreos with vanilla Oreos if you want to change up the flavors.
- Make sure to test the oil. You will want to make sure that it is hot. If you do not have a candy thermometer, then you can use the handle of your wooden spoon– if it bubbles then it is ready.
