This recipe is so easy and delicious– a soft taco shell wraps around a hard taco shell and is binded together by a serving of refried beans: lifechanging. The filling of these double decker tacos consists of tender taco meat that is drenched in a simple taco sauce that is just so easy to prepare!

Tacos
- Ground beef, we used a 90/10 ratio
- Onion, finely chopped
- Green chiles
- Refried beans
- Taco shells, both hard and soft tortillas
Taco Sauce
- Tomato paste
- Spices, ground cumin and cayenne
- Seasoning, oregano, salt, pepper, and garlic powder
- Lime juice
Toppings
- Guacamole
- Pico de gallo
- Lime juice
- Salsa
- Red onions
- Black olives
- Jalapeños, diced
- Tomatoes, beefsteak, diced
- Fresh cilantro, finely chopped
- Cheese, such as sharp cheddar and oaxaca
- Sour cream
- Lettuce, shredded
How Do You Make A Double Decker Taco?
First, in a pan over medium heat, add the ground beef and break it apart.
Next, add the onions, green chiles, and taco sauce to the pan and combine.
Allow meat to cook for eight to ten minutes or until evenly browned.
Assemble The Double Decker Tacos
First, lay your soft tortilla on the counter, then add the refried beans to the flour tortilla.
Next, place the hard taco shell on top of the soft flour tortilla.
Use both hands and pick up your taco shell to gently press the second side of the tortilla to the hard shell.
Next, add the taco meat and top with Oaxaca cheese, sharp cheddar cheese, and cilantro.
Finally, add all of the toppings such as sour cream, jalapeños, pico de gallo, salsa, etc. Enjoy!
