Baked beans are a side dish that can be served with many different types of food. Whether you’re having a barbecue, Thanksgiving meal, or Christmas dinner there are so many options!
Baked beans are the perfect side. So what should we serve with baked beans? In this blog post, I’m going to share 10 of my favorite dishes that go well with baked beans.
1. BBQ Sandwiches
The smokey flavor of a BBQ sandwich is delicious and what better way to enhance that flavor than with baked beans!
I love pairing my BBQ sandwich with a side of coleslaw and baked beans. If you haven’t tried it yet, give it a shot! You will not be disappointed.
2. Fries
I love pairing my baked beans with fries. Fries are delicious and what better way to enjoy them than to dip it in your side dish? It is the perfect combination that works well together! Sometimes when I have too much food, I’ll just eat both as an appetizer before eating dinner because they go so well
3. Poached Egg
Pairing your baked beans with poached eggs is a great option if you’re looking for something that has more protein and a savory flavor to go with the sweet flavor of the beans.
You can also add some fresh veggies like tomatoes or avocado to give it even more flavor!
4. Sausages
Who doesn’t love sausages? They go well with almost anything and what better way than to pair them with baked beans. This is a great option for dinner parties or special occasions because it gives your guests more options to choose from what they want on their plate and the combination of flavors works well together
5. Rice
It’s a great option if you’re looking for a carb to go along with your side dish because it works well together and adds another layer of flavor that will leave your mouth watering!
6. Corn on the Cob
Corn on the cob goes really well with baked beans.
It is easy to make and delicious! You can either boil the corn or grill it. Both are amazing options that work well with baked beans

Who doesn’t love pizza?! This one may seem a little weird because you wouldn’t think to put baked beans on your pizza, but I’m telling you it’s what makes the pie even more amazing! You will not regret adding this to your pizza.
8. Chicken
Not only is chicken a main dish, it also goes great with baked beans!
You can use the baked beans as gravy when you’re eating your mashed potatoes or rice to add more flavor and make what you eat even more delicious.
9. Candied Carrots
This is what I like to make whenever we have a simple family dinner or even when my friends come over for a meal. It’s what everyone loves to eat together, and it’s always the ideal solution!
10. Cheese Fries
This cheese filled classic is what I like to make when the kids have friends over for a lunch or just simply hanging out. Top with a crumble of bacon and chopped jalapenos for the win!
11. Tortillas
For a quick and easy snack with minimum ingredients try using tortillas!
These go absolutely great with baked beans and take just take minutes to make. You can just add a little butter to the tortilla, add the baked beans and roll it up.
I also like to serve them up when we have fajita night and everyone loves eating what I’ve made! It’s what we all love eating together – what a classic combination!

Fritos go great with baked beans. Pop open a snack-size add a couple of spoons of baked beans, cheese, Rotel, close the bag, shake, and there you go!

Ok, baked beans and cornbread?! Yes! They’re both southern foods and what can be more American than that? It’s a classic pairing that will definitely have you coming back for seconds!
Simply cut the cornbread into squares or crumble on top and serve.
